A few notes about Saturday's "Usan Uravukal - Global Celebration"
1. You can join the meeting at 7 a.m. EST / 12 p.m. UK / 1 p.m. Europe & Scandinavia / 5:30 p.m. Sri Lanka / 11 p.m. Sydney. (Please join as early as you can to get better seat.)
2. The performances will start at 7:30 a.m. EST.
3. When you join the meeting you will be asked to give consent to the Host to unmute you. Please grant this consent. Otherwise the Host cannot unmute you.
4. When you join the meeting your microphone will be muted and webcam will be off. You can unmute yourselves and activate the webcam.
5. When you join the meeting, you will also be given an option to change your display name. Please enter a name that others can easily identify you. You can also change the display name after joining the meeting within the participants list by selecting the MORE option against your name.
6. During the performances all microphones will be muted by the Host. No one will be able to unmute themselves. This is to prevent unnecessary background noises..
7. It is highly recommended to keep your webcam activated as a courtesy for others to see you.
8. At the end of the performances all microphones will be unmuted by the Host, so that you can talk to others. If you haven't given the consent to Host to unmute you, you may unmute yourselves.
9. During the performances, you can show your appreciation to the performers by clapping in front of the webcam. Remember that they cannot hear as your microphone will be muted. Also there is a "Reaction" button in the Zoom screen. You can choose to send one of the available reactions to show your appreciation.
10. If your devices have more than one microphone or speaker, you can choose which one to use by clicking the up arrow on the microphone icon at the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
11. You can keep your screen in either Gallery View or Speaker View. Click on the 'View' option on the top right hand corner of the screen.
12. A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: IF MORE THAN ONE DEVICE WILL BE USED FROM THE SAME HOUSEHOLD, PLEASE KEEP THOSE DEVICES APART. KEEPING THEM CLOSE TO EACH OTHER WILL CREATE ECHO EFFECT.
